Answered Prayer for a child
I received an email for a man in Kentucky about his neighbor’s 4 year old son
who was in the process of dying with a rare brain disease called Leukadystophy.
He was suffering from this dread disease for over two years and was
now being medically treated by Hospice of Kentucky. When he
emailed me I answered and gave him my phone number and since he was only 20
miles away, I said I would be willing to come for a visit and pray with him and
his family.
When I arrived I talked with the neighbor about the little boy and how he felt God
would intervene for a healing. He himself had been diagnosed with a brain tumor
some years back and the doctors said it was inoperable and did not give him
much hope. He said a church group prayed with him one evening and he felt
the pain subside. He checked things out with the doctor and the doctor said it
must be a miracle, we gave you up for dead. So he believed in the power of
prayer for this little one and was happy I came over.
When I went inside the home I found the little boy lying in the arms of an aunt.
Gathered around him were many friends and relatives. I observed that the little boy
(Brandon was his name) was very listless and lethargic. His eyes were shut and I
found out that he was in a Coma and only had only a few weeks to live.
I touched him on the face and asked the family to gather and hold hands
as we prayed. They said that they never left him alone; that someone was always
holding him in their arms and talking with him.
We prayed. They mentioned that they were not Catholic and that they went
to a little Christian Church down the way. They just kept talking about Brandon –
what he was like, what he liked to do and his favorite music—Elvis tapes.
So they played them till they were wearing out. Just for him.
We continue to pray and they continued to share about his little life.
I touched him on the forehead once more making the sign of the cross as I did so.
When I got up to leave, the uncle thanked me for
coming and I stood outside the mobile home with him and the neighbor who was so
kind to ask me to come there and pray. The uncle mentioned that prior to
Brandon’s disease that he (the uncle) was on drugs for many years, but not any
longer. He was free of the drugs and alcohol. I spent about twenty minutes more
talking and my wife and I left.
The next day, the neighbor had been trying to reach me by phone and email
to no avail. I finally got his message in the evening and returned his call.
He was so excited! You see, the next morning while the uncle was tending to
Brandon’s needs by suctioning his airway and talking with him as was his
custom, when he made a comment to Brandon and
responding by saying,
“Isn’t that right, Brandon?”
You see, Brandon spoke for the first time in 2 years by saying,
“Yup!”
The rest of the story goes onward. Brandon is totally healed.
His listless body and muscle tone is coming back stronger and
stronger. That weekend the family and the neighbor took him to the little Church
they attend to show the congregation the miracle. The doctor’s said indeed, that
this was a MIRACLE, and that there was no way possible for him to recover from
this dread disease. The family is so thankful to the Lord Jesus.
THANK YOU, LORD FOR YOUR GIFT OF MERCY AND LOVE.

Message:
Several years ago, I met Deacon Frank when he came to the small town of Minersville, PA. for a parish mission.
I knew something special was going to happen that Sunday night because when I took my seat in church at the
healing service, my ears immediately began to burn. And something special did happen to me that night and has
been happening every day since. I know now that I am not alone, ever. That Jesus is always with me, helping me
in all that I do if I only let Him lead me. I asked Deacon Frank to pray for two people in my life who especially
needed prayers at that time. One was my brother-in-law who was dying of pancreatic cancer and the other was
my daughter who was pregnant with her third child. Since then my brother-in-law has passed from this life.
I am grateful that my prayers for him were answered because he left this life before the ravages of his disease
could completely devastate him and rob him of his dignity as has happened to so many who are stricken with
pancreatic cancer. I am also grateful to report that my daughter who had been undergoing genetic testing
because she already has one child with cerebral palsy, has been told that the child she is carrying is perfectly
healthy. Other wonderful things have happened to members of my family who weren't present that night and
that I did not specifically ask for prayers for. It has convinced me of something I already knew but that I had forgotten.
That God knows what we need even before we ask and He knows better than we do. I thank God everyday for
Deacon Frank and the Watersedge Ministry. My life has changed completely because God sent him to my
small town and moved me to attend the healing service. -- Dolores

"I thought when my son died of AIDS, that he was in eternal suffering in Hell, but during the prayer experience I saw
my son on the shore standing next to Jesus and they both were smiling at me. I knew then he was in the
arms of the Lord. You see, he died without me even knowing he had AIDS." – Mary, Cleveland

"You prayed with me and our family at the shrine healing service for our father who was suffering from a
severe heart condition and kidney failure and his system was ‘shutting down’. Just to let your know that he
has recovered completely and is doing well. Thank you for your prayers." – Jim and family, Cleveland
"My father had died of cancer and I never had the opportunity to say good-bye to him. When I saw Jesus
come along the shore towards me he had the hood of his cloak over his head. As he got closer he looked
up at me and his face changed to my father’s face. We sat on the shore and talked as only my father would.
As he got up to leave he turned and said, "to tell mother (his wife) that he was OK."
That really was my father there on the shore." – Paul, Cleveland
"I didn’t know if Jesus loved me of late, any longer. I had been a Sister for over 20 years in a teaching order
and was in deep depression. You see, my father died and never forgave me (and never talked to me while
he was alive) about becoming a religious. When you began the watersedge prayer, I found myself in the
backyard of my father’s home where I saw Jesus peeking from behind our big tree. He’d look at me and
then hide again. He repeated this several times. You told me to tell Jesus how much I loved him. I couldn’t.
I didn’t know if he loved me even after all these years as a religious. I thought I had a good prayer life…
I took the step of faith like you said and told Jesus, "I love you very much Jesus. I love you. I love you."
Then, the scene changed and I saw Jesus standing at our kitchen table behind my father. Dad said to me,
"I’m sorry, dear. Please forgive me for not trusting in you and loving you. I’m so proud of you."
I was moved to deep feelings of joy and a flood of tears. I couldn’t stop crying.
My dad smiled at me, then left." – Sr. M, Cleveland (Religious)
"I found you online, just how I don’t know—I was just browsing and found your site. When your words
came up and flashed across the screen -- LONELY, DEPRESSED, HURTING, IN NEED OF PRAYER?
CONTACT ME. I did just that. I was suffering greatly with depression and loneliness—to the point of suicide.
Your prayer for healing brought the love of Jesus back to me in a special way. Thank you." – Tom, Internet
In the midst of all that was happening in my life, I stumbled onto your website.
I saw the healing prayer (Matthew 14:25-36).
That evening, I sat in my bedroom and prayed this prayer. As I imagined myself in the boat,
in a stormy sea and Jesus walking on the water, I reached out to him and asked him to hold me
and take me to the shore. I told him that I want to go with him, wherever He leads me, to do whatever
He wanted me to do. As I prayed this prayer, tears came out of my eyes but a strange peace descended
on me. Peace knowing that He will lead me to a place of safety and joy; that He will give me
contentment wherever it may be. The next day when I visited the doctor, he was amazed
to find that my blood pressure had come down. -- Miriam from Oakville Ontario

There are hundreds of stories I could share with you, but there is not enough room
on this web site. Each time you experience a prayer for healing, it will affect you in
some way—emotionally, physically or spiritually. The experience of being depressed,
disabled, or being seriously ill touch all aspects of our personal life. It is a great grace
to offer this time of healing prayer for you and your loved ones.
